lunch with a view
Last week I enjoyed a sandwich outdoors with some friends at the back of the Louvre. It's a fun spot and a bit off the tourist track which makes it even more appealing!

lux easter
This was the first Easter we spent in France. Since Monday after is a holiday, all other years we have taken advantage of the extra day and traveled. This year, we hosted a Final Four/Easter brunch with friends. We watched basketball and grazed on food all day long. On Monday, the spring weather finally showed up and we took a stroll to Jardin de Luxembourg and we weren't the only ones with that idea.
It was so busy, but we found a couple chairs and soaked up some sunshine for a few hours while munching on a baguette and cheese. I'm hoping this sunshine sticks around! It really changes the mood around here!

welcome to the family
Well, we took the leap... plunge... whatever you want to call it and decided to add to the family.
A four-legged furry little lady named Leila.
From the farm in Laleu to the city of Paris, she's already spoiled rotten.
I have to admit I am giving myself a pat on the back because her owner only spoke French and I somehow was able to complete the process and understand 95% of what was explained!
Between eating and trips outside she's snoozing or chewing...
mostly on toys but occasionally she finds a toe or finger.
She's made me pretty popular in the building, mostly amongst the kids. This morning two stopped me outside on their way to school to say "Bonjour." French people are usually pretty private, but when you have a pup in tow, they flock. It's almost annoying taking her outside because it's not unusual for someone to stop and ask about her, pet her, or give us their two cents about caring for her.
She's 10 weeks of pure puppy, but it's been fun so far!
